| Executive Internship (Bellingham, WA) |
|
Duration: Start and end dates are flexible
Hours/Week: 10 hours/week (flexible) Compensation: Volunteer Position Summary: The Executive Intern will wear many hats including, but not limited to, fundraising, marketing and volunteer development. The intern will probably not focus as much with grants, bookkeeping and programs; however that might depend on the specific skills of the intern and the constantly changing needs of the organization. It is envisioned that the intern will have similar duties as the Director, and will take on more duties as the assignment progresses. CEN desires an intern who is resourceful, creative, enthusiastic and self-directed. The intern will plan and collaborate very closely with the Director. Although the Director and Intern will meet frequently, much of the work can be performed remotely (from home or elsewhere). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
You must be able to commit a minimum average of 10 hours a week. Although this is largely a “virtual” team opportunity that may performed from your home or other location, we would like for you to be located in the Bellingham, WA area so that you can meet regularly with the Director and assist in local CEN events. Candidates living in other parts of the Puget Sound will be considered as well. Community Empowerment Network's (CEN's) operations are nearly entirely driven by the efforts of volunteers (the only exception is our Field Manager in Santarém, Brazil, who is paid under contract). We are a small organization and so lines of responsibility sometimes overlap, but this provides a terrific opportunity for volunteers to take on a variety of responsibilities and to expand their skills.
