Position Summary:
The Product Manager would take the lead in finding U.S. distributors or partners to sell one or more lines of handmade products crafted by the Amazonian communities where we work. The Product Team Member would provide support to the Product Manager and help with the execution of the Product Team's tasks. Current product lines include:
He or she would supervise the development of and market research for these products. The Products Team Member would report to the Product Manager and be responsible for various assignments related to this team.
We are also looking for individuals to manage the marketing of several products which aren't related directly to our mission but raise funds for our organization, such as our Amazon.com link, our Capitol One® Visa® Credit Card, our online shop and our online savings card.

Please be able to commit a minimum average of 10 hours a month.This is a “virtual” team opportunity which you may perform from your home or other location. Preference is given to individuals located in western Washington state or Lower Mainland of British Columbia in order to be able to work closely with the Director and to be able to regularly access the product inventory.
Community Empowerment Network's (CEN) operations are nearly entirely driven by the efforts of volunteers (the only exception is our Field Manager in Santarém, Brazil, who is paid under contract). We are a small organization and so lines of responsibility sometimes overlap, but this provides a terrific opportunity for volunteers to take on a variety of responsibilities and to expand their skills.
