Sarah Sullivan is warm, energetic and personable. She describes herself as “very active and outdoorsy,” and her hobbies include running, tennis, kickball and skiing. Her background demonstrates a long history of service to others, an interest in seeing the world, and a real enjoyment in working with people.
Sarah majored in environmental studies at the University of Vermont and afterward did work for the Peace Corps in Jamaican schools. She then traveled around New Zealand while working on organic farms. After coming back to the States, Sarah moved from her native New Jersey to Seattle, Washington. In her first position out West, Sarah worked for a nonprofit dedicated to registering people to vote, including new citizens. She recalls how beautiful and moving it was for her to see immigrants getting sworn in as citizens. Sarah is currently doing marketing and outreach for the University of Washington and some local home performance and energy efficiency companies.
Sarah finds that her role on the CEN fundraising team fulfills both her international interests and her love of working with people. Since she joined in September 2011, Sarah has worked on a multitude of tasks, including work on a fundraising raffle, call to action emails, and reaching out to create partnerships with other local organizations.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sarah for all her hard work and dedication!
