Inspired by the effective and powerful impact of microfinance and community development/empowerment projects in alleviating poverty around the world, Lisa decided to change career directions and study economics and finance. Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University in 2008 with a combined major in economics/accounting and an additional major in finance. During her studies she spent a summer interning with Ernst & Young at the Seattle office and was hired as a staff auditor in the Assurance & Advisory Business Services Practice in August 2008. Lisa strongly believes the most effective way to help those in the world who are poor and lacking sufficient resources, is to help them to help themselves. She believes every human has the basic right to feel empowered to provide for themselves and their family, and to discover and develop there own unique potential. Lisa recently joined CEN and is passionate about the organization and its mission.
