
Brad Williams worked for more than 30 years at Fortune 1000 insurance companies in progressive leadership roles until 2007, when he was named executive vice president of HABAA, a manufacturing and distribution company located in Charlotte, N.C. In 2009 he joined MicroEnsure in Cheltenham, U.K., as the chief operating officer. MicroEnsure is a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing health, agriculture and other programs to the poor throughout Africa, India and Asia.
In the role of COO, Brad established country offices and hired and trained personnel in those locations. He worked extensively on developing networks that included insurance companies, nonprofit organizations and nongovernmental organizations serving the poor. He also developed and implemented programs designed to best serve local needs. During this time, he lived in Accra, Ghana and Chennai, India. The most noteworthy programs were developed in Solapur, India, and provided agriculture insurance and health programs for more than 200,000 families.
Brad is currently a remote consultant for Grow Movement, located in Kampala, Uganda, which provides small and medium businesses with consulting services designed to help sustain and grow their business.
Brad has a B.S. degree in economics from North Dakota State University, an MBA from Minnesota State University, Mankato and an M.S. degree in Biblical studies from Dallas Theological Seminary.
He has served on the boards of directors for Inroads Atlanta, Texas Insurance Advisory Association, American Rental Association, MicroEnsure Ghana, MicroEnsure Uganda, MicroEnsure Kenya and MicroEnsure Philippines.
Brad's volunteer activities include working with CrossRoads Bible Institute, Kaboom playground building and various church support efforts.
He currently lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife.
