Facilitators: The team of individuals who guide program participants along their journey to build and strengthen their skills, habits and develop mindsets that support self-reliance.
Participants: Project participants are generally residents of the communities that have been selected by CEN and our local implementation partner. The CEN program works best with individuals who can meet at least a basic level of subsistence, time available, basic literacy and show motivation. We also look for individuals who demonstrate the interest and capacity to share what they learn through the program with others in the community, thus becoming change agents for their community.
Sustainable projects: When a participant is comfortable and confident with their project and can take over management of the project without a facilitator's input.
Skills: Internal abilities that move the participant closer to established goals.
Resources: Items or technologies available that will aid in reaching established goals.
