Position Summary:

The Fundraising Operations Team Member/Data Analyst will ensure that accurate records are kept of all donations and that supporters are properly thanked. This is critical in order to express our sincere gratitude for their support as well as to ensure we meet legal requirements. Maintaining accurate records also enables us to develop and maintain an ongoing relationship with donors, which is critical in order to achieve our fundraising goals. The Fundraising Operations Team Member/Data Analyst will also support the Fundraising Team with other projects as needed, including periodic calls to donors to gather and share information (but not to ask for money).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Update the donor database by manually transferring data from the online donor management system
Help develop, execute and manage a streamlined process for ensuring donors are properly thanked in a timely manner
Collaborate with the rest of the Fundraising Team on the development and execution of its activities

KSAs (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Needed:

High degree of proficiency working with details (i.e. detail-oriented)
Maturity and reliability
Ability to adhere to project and task deadlines
Basic knowledge of spreadsheets and personal computers (Mac is OK)

System Requirements:

Access to computer
Reliable Internet connection

You must be able to commit to a minimum average of 10 hours a month. This is a "virtual" team opportunity which may be performed from home or another location.

Community Empowerment Network's (CEN) operations are nearly entirely driven by the efforts of volunteers (the only exception is our Field Manager in Santarém, Brazil, who is paid under contract). We are a small organization and so lines of responsibility sometimes overlap, but this provides a terrific opportunity for volunteers to take on a variety of responsibilities and to expand their skills.
