CEN's Unveiling the Amazon tour allows visitors the chance to experience a unique lifestyle, while helping to build self-reliance in the communities.
We invite you to join CEN in a unique opportunity to travel to the Amazon rainforest and experience first-hand the people and culture of the Brazilian Amazon. Our trip, Unveiling the Amazon, gives visitors a chance to venture into the pristine, remote areas of the Amazon where our program is based, in order to more directly support their efforts to create sustainable economic opportunities. Visitors will also be able to indulge in hikes through the lush forests, enjoy some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and get to know the communities and their inhabitants. If you love traveling off the beaten bath, immersing yourself in other cultures, and would like the reward of giving more while on vacation, this is the perfect trip for you!
This trip provides visitors an opportunity to visit the lovely Caboclo riverside communities of Maguary, Jamaraquá and the Eixo Forte. Here you will interact in a deep and meaningful way with its people, and directly support their efforts to create sustainable economic opportunities as they learn to become more self-reliant and end the cycle of poverty. This trip will benefit the communities you visit and also be a personal, life-changing experience.
The next trip is scheduled for February 13-21, 2013 and will be led by CEN Founder and Director, Bob Bortner. Be sure not to miss this terrific and rare opportunity to travel with Bob, who has many years of experience in the region.
The price is $1999/person for adults and $800/child 8-18 years old. For more details on the cost, please visit Trip Cost.
