It's Carnival weekend! Polish up your Samba skills and join Aaron, Bob and friends for a Brazilian Carnival party and benefit for the Community Empowerment Network (CEN)! Enjoy music, snacks and drinks at a Belltown penthouse with panaoramic views of Elliot Bay.

Your donation of $10.00 per person is appreciated for admission and two drinks.  (Additional donation requested for additional drinks).  All donations will go to support CEN's program to fight poverty and create self-reliance in the Amazon.

We are in the brick building at the southeast corner of Western and Vine.  Park on the street, or in the lot across from the building.

Costume ideas:

A number of people have asked ideas for costumes. Although they aren't required, it will make the party much more memorable if everyone can make some effort to dress up out of your ordinary.

Here are some ideas:

1. Very lightweight clothe - The most common dress you see during Brazilian Carnival is shorts, a very lightweight shirt or top, and flipflops (or high sandals for women). Remember it's HOT in Rio during Carnival! (pun intended!)

2. Wild costumes - The wild costumes you see in photos are mostly in the parades and samba schools.
